San Jacinto Council at the Lone Star Flight Museum

On March 23rd, the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council hosted an incredible aviation education event at the Lone Star Flight Museum in Houston, Texas. I had the honor of speaking at this event, along aside the incredible Dr. Shelly Lesikar deZevallos, to dozens of middle and high school aged young women about my experience as a young woman pursuing aviation. It was incredible to see the enthusiasm in these young girls and to see the impact that the San Jacinto Council is making in the lives of Girls Scouts everywhere! I can’t wait to work with them again soon.

This kind of ambition and drive from Girl Scout Councils gets us one step closer to making program-wide change and the revival of the Girl Scout Aviation Badge, as well as similar career-empowerment initiatives.
